VELO ENTERPRISE CO., LTD.

Profession? Downhill MTB Racer.

Keep on keeping on… and have fun!

Like most kids, Kevin learned to ride out in front of his house. What sold him on getting his own career going was watching the once BMX mini-ramp world champion Alex Bender ride off a cliff. Now, Kevin races professionally for the KHS Team—and his Facebook page shows his trail of wins on tour from the west coast to the east and back. His favorite competitors are his teammates, because they are always fun to race against: “It’s an on-going competition, in which we push each other to better and greater things.” His win at the Fontana National was one of his recent highlights. “It was great to get a win on my home turf with my family and friends and the race.” He was also proud to put down a good performance against other top riders in attendance.

Kevin’s Saddle

Kevin’s saddle of choice is the Velo VL 1200, “It’s light, comfortable, and looks great on the bike!” The light carbon rail and base make the saddle perfect for his fast and agile riding style. Aside from excellent high-tech strength and firmness, Kevin appreciates the saddle’s high-tech styling: “It looks fast, and it is fast! It is the perfect complement to my bike.” Kevin rides the KHS Downhill 300, which he likes a s much as his Senso saddle: “It’s the best out there… and suits my riding style.” He makes a ritual out of getting his mind set for the race. His credo is, “Don’t ride when you’re tired, and don’t do tricks you’re not 100% sure of!”

Kevin’s Life

Kevin, who has an exceptionally good eye for the rough terrain he rides, actually has a freckle in one eye. Is this the special something that gives him the edge while sailing downhill? Whatever his secret may be, according to him his greatest success is being able to wake up and love doing what he does every day. And that includes spear fishing, riding his motorbike, digging trails and RC (radio) cars. More power to you, Kevin!
