Stevens-1A-Crossteam
a superior-class women’s Cyclo-cross team
The Stevens-1A-Crossteam is active in almost every aspect of bicycle racing, but their specialty is Cyclo-cross, a form of bicycle racing that combines all types of racing into short consecutive laps that require different cycling skills; riders are often even required to dismount and carry their bikes! A typical season begins in September and runs through February.
In the offseason the girls continue their training, competing in summer street races to maintain their endurance, and participating in the annual “Mountain Bike Cross-Country Circus”. By the time season rolls around, the girls are in top shape to compete for National Championship titles in Lower Saxony.
